Planning an IT Infrastructure Audit for Compliance

Due Week 10 and worth 200 points

The audit planning process directly affects the quality of the outcome. A proper plan ensures that resources are focused on the right areas and that potential problems are identified early. A successful audit first outlines what’s supposed to be achieved as well as what procedures will be followed and the required resources to carry out the procedures. Considering your current or previous organization or an organization you are familiar with, develop an IT infrastructure audit for compliance. Chapter 5 of the required textbook may be helpful in the completion of the term paper.

Write a ten to fifteen (10-15) page paper in which you:

  1. Define the following items for an organization in which you are familiar with:
    1. Scope
    2. Goals and objectives
    3. Frequency of the audit
  2. Identify the critical requirements of the audit for your chosen organization and explain why you consider them to be critical requirements.
  3. Choose privacy laws that apply to the organization, and suggest who is responsible for privacy within the organization.
  4. Develop a plan for assessing IT security for your chosen organization by conducting the following:
    1. Risk management
    2. Threat analysis
    3. Vulnerability analysis
    4. Risk assessment analysis
  5. Explain how to obtain information, documentation, and resources for the audit.
  6. Analyze how each of the seven (7) domains aligns within your chosen organization.
  7. Develop a plan that:
    1. Examines the existence of relevant and appropriate security policies and procedures.
    2. Verifies the existence of controls supporting the policies.
    3. Verifies the effective implementation and ongoing monitoring of the controls.
  8. Identify all critical security control points that must be verified throughout the IT infrastructure, and develop a plan that include adequate controls to meet high-level defined control objectives within this organization.
  9. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

the Impact Of Television On children and adolescents essay

The Final Project in this course will be a written, cohesive argument for a specific change in your community or workplace. The Final Project should take the form of a “persuasive essay,” in which you will provide reliable evidence from at least five sources to support the argument for change that you are advocating.

You will also need to reconcile the counter-argument or the audience’s misconception about the topic within the Final Project, as the ability to do so is a key component of a strong argument. Essentially, the Final Project will reflect what you have learned about writing effectively, using research, and creating a logical argument to influence an audience. You may also include relevant visuals to further illustrate key points of your argument; the visuals will need to be appropriate and cited in APA citation format if borrowed from a source.

As long as your topic meets the project requirements listed below, there are no specific restrictions on the topic of your argument for change, unless noted otherwise by your instructor. The topic that you chose early in this course and received feedback from your instructor for further guidance will be the same topic for your Final Project so that your work throughout the course will contribute to your constructing of an argument for change in the Final Project.

Your Final Project will need to meet the following criteria:

      • APA manuscript format for the document, including an appropriately formatted title page and References page
      • A thesis statement at the end of the introduction paragraph
      • Well-developed paragraphs that include evidence from sources to support your argument for a specific change in your community or workplace
      • Five reliable sources should be cited within the text of the project; at least two of the cited sources should be either books/ebooks or periodical articles
      • All cited sources need to have full-citations on a References page (except for any interviews you conduct, which only require in-text citations)
      • Standard American English and a formal tone throughout the writing
      • Visuals are optional, but should be relevant, labeled (including citing the source), and referenced to in the text of the essay (e.g., “As seen in Figure 1….”); do not use clip-art or other visuals that do not clearly illustrate part of your argument

      • After your References page, you will also include a 200-word paragraph reflecting on what you learned about effective writing through this course and Final Project, along with how you can use this information in future personal and professional situations

         Leadership and Ethics

1-2 Final Project: Problem Definition (Milestone One)

Consider a common behavioral challenge in your organization (can be workplace or home). If you could change one aspect within your organization to make it more successful, make your life better, or make the organization work better, what would it be? Be detailed in describing the current situation in your organization—what are the facts? Please DO NOT present solutions at this time. If you do, you will start to bias the solution with your existing mentality (like creating a box that limits your growth in wisdom). Consider multiple perspectives from various stakeholders. You can also obtain the “big” challenge from your management as well.

There is no word limit on this assignment, keep it short and simple. Make it meaningful. In other words, consider that the peers in your organization would also want to change this situation. This will set you up for your final Organizational Analysis and Design: resolving organizational issues through contextual design and providing a specific focus of knowledge application through this leadership ethics class.

Here are some questions to consider as you are working on your Problem Definition for your final project to be submitted in Module Ten:

        • What are the ethical bargains of your organization? What has been the impact?
        • Who are the stakeholders and what are their values?
        • What are some of the potential consequences or impacts of the change on the people involved?
        • How would you lead this process of change and what organizational change principles would you apply to assure that your organization welcomes the new change?
        • What is the awareness regarding the relationship between ethics and leadership within your organization?
        • What are leadership styles and social challenges in your organization?
        • What is the defined code of ethics within your organization?
        • Analyze how leadership style is affected by your organization’s code of ethics.
        • How does the external perspective of others concerning personal ethics challenge ethics within your organization?
        • Is there an impact of fear or impact of inspiration in your organization?
        • How would you propose your organization to shift toward an inspirational-based mentality?
        • What are the defined duties of the leaders in your organization?
        • Describe and analyze the existing ethical decision-making process in your organization.
        • Identify organizational culture and leadership in your organization from a values perspective.

This submission is for instructor feedback and is not graded separately. It will affect your project grade under the Milestone Submission critical element.

            Observational and Motor Learning

During the period of early childhood, mastering fine motor skills is a very important process needed for physical and cognitive development. However, for a number of different reasons, there are some children who do not develop at the same pace as an average child. It is important for parents and physicians to recognize children who are not on track developmentally because the earlier the cause of the delay can be determined, the earlier parents can start working with the child to correct or minimize these deficits. Often, the earlier the children begins to work on their developmental deficits, the greater the advancements they can make.

By the age of three, a child should be able to do the following:

              • Use a spoon by themselves
              • Draw a vertical and horizontal line
              • String large beads
              • Snip paper with scissors
              • Roll clay or play dough into a “snake”

Conduct an Internet search using the two phrases listed below. Your results will help you better understand the kind of milestones that are used to assess the development of fine motor skills in young children.

              • Fine motor skills milestones
              • Child development milestones

Using the module readings, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, research observational and motor learning and activities that can be used to help develop motor skills. Then, address the following:

              • Describe in detail how a young child’s fine motor skills are developed—making sure to include the theory of motor-skill learning that best fits this situation.
              • Explain whether any motor tasks or skills can be accomplished via observational learning. Justify your response.
              • Now, consider a situation in which a young child (3–4 years old) is developmentally delayed in fine motor skill development. Create a strategy which would help the child strengthen his or her fine motor skills.
              • You can find a number of activities online which purport to help develop these skills. From a theoretical viewpoint, be sure to explain how these activities will aid a child’s fine motor skill development. Make sure that you reference at least one peer-reviewed article in addition to any Web sites you find and describe these activities as part of your development strategy.

Write a 3–4-page paper in Word format. It should be double-spaced and in 12 point, Times New Roman font with regular one-inch margins and free of typographical and grammatical errors. Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Be sure to include a title page with a running head and reference page.
