What is Human Resource?

Human resources refers to the resources, which are embedded in motivation, skills and knowledge of people that work in a particular organization. According to the assertions of Bamberger and Biron (2014), human resources is actually an umbrella terminology referring to an assembly of functions that can help an organization deliver or provide value through its agency, contractors and most importantly, employees. Given a hospital environment; for instance, human resources that bear a lot of significance include doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, drivers, cleaners, and all other people that play a significant role in ensuring that patients receive the kind of treatment they deserve. It is therefore, worth noting that human resources is one of the four major factors of production, and given the right conditions, it is the only one that improves as people grow in both age experience.
