MiG-25 Foxbat Acquisition Surprising Finds Discussion

The MiG-25 Foxbat acquisition is an example of Product Teardown method of intelligence collection. There were four surprising ‘finds’ as a result of the MiG-25 Foxbat acquisition. First, the spectacular Soviet achievement stated in the intelligence estimates was larger than the MiG-25 Foxbat acquisition. Second, the MiG-25 Foxbat acquisition would perform poorly against the United States fighters despite the fact that it could be highly effective as an interceptor against bombers.
