Nevertheless, the cuisine in the west is not mainly oriented to religion and is totally based on human pleasure and nutrition. The clothing also lies on individual preferences rather than the societal dictations. More generally, the west is based in individualism rather than socialism. It means that Indian culture places ‘rules’ to be followed by the society on the ways of life which doesn’t apply to the west. These disparities are the reason why one is likely to suffer from culture shock if they immerse themselves in the Indian culture.
